The VVT solenoid cover O‑ring on Land Rover and Range Rover models fitted with Ingenium engines plays a crucial role in maintaining correct oil pressure within the variable valve timing system. When this seal begins to harden, flatten or crack, it can cause oil leaks, contamination around the solenoid area and reduced VVT efficiency, leading to poor performance or fault codes. Replacing the worn seal with the Febi LR154974 O‑ring, manufactured from durable FKM fluorocarbon rubber, ensures long‑lasting resistance against heat, engine oil and chemical exposure.
